I’m Ready
314 words... posted on May 15, 2010 @ 1:03 pmIt’s a very odd thing to say, but this is one of the few times in my life where I actually feel successful. Yes, there’s the small uses to the word, but to actually accomplish something big, something doubtful.
- I successfully completed the AP Euro test. How I did, however, I will never know. It makes me feel accomplished because I started studying a lot after the Wiz, which is not a lot of time at all. I guess I’m a decent crammer.
- I have decent grades, possibly better than last year (thanks a lot, Model UN D: ) Right now I have 2 B’s, but that can be brought up easily, and with AP euro final not existing, that will make it a lot easier to ace finals than last time.
- I got into wind ensemble. I try not to think of this as a big deal, as no one else really does, but it’s honestly something huge for me. I have been in this district-wide system of bands since the fourth grade, like most people. However, I have this huge competitive ego about me. Everything is competitive. Everything. And to finally get to the end of this system is big for me. I’m at the top of the band pyramid. and in Jazz band. I’ll probably have first trumpet music for next marching season. I feel pretty good.
With all this on my mind, it’s easy for me just to say I’m Ready. Not only my favorite Jack’s Mannequin song, but I’m ready for whatever the world has for me. I can cram on finals and get A’s. I can practice for 2 weeks and make wind ensemble. I feel good.
Now all I have to do is revamp this site.
